Hi! I’m Katie.

Whether I’m navigating life as a first-responder spouse or designing a new curriculum, I rely on two non-negotiables: Freedom and Connection. They are the 'why' behind everything you see on this page and the reason I'm so passionate about creating resources that actually work for real life.

FREEDOM

To me, freedom is about the flexibility to adapt to the unpredictable rhythm of life while using that same creative problem-solving to build tools that help you break out of stuck patterns.

CONNECTION

I am rooted in the deep, grounded ties I have to my people, which is why I skip the dry lectures in favor of human-centered resources that make you feel truly seen and supported.

How I Show Up: My Essence

These intrinsic qualities—identified by those who know me best—are the foundation of every resource and course I create.

    • In Me: I lead with empathy and a genuine curiosity about the human experience. I listen for the underlying emotions and values that drive us, not just the surface-level facts.

    • In My Work: This translates to a style of resource development that is deeply relational. Even in a self-paced course or a PDF guide, I aim to create a sense of being seen and understood, ensuring that the content feels personal and supportive rather than clinical.

    • In Me: I am driven by an internal blueprint of service and integrity. I find it difficult to engage in work that doesn't have a clear, positive impact on the community or provide a solid footing for those I’m helping.

    • In My Work: Every training module or tool I develop is built to serve a meaningful goal. I strip away the "busy work" and fluff to ensure that the content acts as a foundation for your growth, leading to true alignment and real-world results for you and your family.

    • In Me: I have a naturally grounded presence. I’ve always been the "calm in the storm" for those around me—a quality that has deeply benefited my life and my marriage as a first responder spouse.

    • In My Work: I build this same psychological "safe harbor" into my curriculum. My resources are designed to be a place where you can lower your armor and process your experiences without judgment, providing a steady footing even when life feels unpredictable.

    • In Me: I possess a quick, creative mind that loves to connect seemingly unrelated dots. I live for those "aha!" moments when a complex problem—especially a messy human one—suddenly finds a simple, elegant solution.

    • In My Work: I pour this into curriculum design and creative problem-solving. I take dense, often-overlooked dynamics of human relationships and translate them into engaging content. My resources help you see the patterns in your own life more clearly, turning stuck moments into a clear path forward.

    • In Me: I bring a sense of vitality and playfulness to my life. I believe that even the most serious topics benefit from a light touch and a bit of fresh air, keeping things engaging without being overwhelming.

    • In My Work: I use "subtle humor" as a bridge for connection. By weaving a sense of life and wit into my digital content, I break down the "dry" barriers of traditional learning. It keeps the energy moving and proves that professional growth can be refreshing, not draining.

Essence in Action: My Work

How my professional background serves the resources I build for you.

  • My primary focus is translating complex concepts into transformative learning experiences. Drawing on my passion for creativity, I write and develop original courses—and adapt industry-standard curriculum—to ensure that every resource is engaging, practical, and easy to implement.

  • While I no longer provide direct client care, my background as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is the backbone of my content. I integrate clinical wisdom and crisis management skills into my resources to help you navigate relationship dynamics and stress with a grounded perspective.

  • Having served on a leadership team implementing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), I understand how to build structures that work. I bake this "big picture" strategic thinking into my tools to help you find alignment and clarity, whether you’re managing a household or a career.

  • My experience coordinating statewide initiatives and collaborating with the criminal justice system taught me the value of "boots on the ground" support. I build my resources with this community-first mindset, ensuring they are accessible and relevant to the real-world challenges of first responder families and professionals.

This lived experience is baked into the DNA of my work.

Our family at the fire station Christmas Day
As the wife of a firefighter/paramedic in Toledo, I’ve navigated the unique rhythm of the 24/48 shift, the ‘re-entry’ days, and the constant need for flexibility. My natural Haven essence—that steady, grounded presence I’ve always carried—has been a vital anchor in our home life.

This lived experience is baked into the DNA of my work. It allows me to bring a calm, non-anxious perspective to the resources I develop, ensuring they are practical for high-stakes lives. I have a deep respect for those who serve others, and I pour that 'front-line' work ethic into every course and tool I share, helping you find a solid footing no matter what the day throws at you.
